Terms and Conditions

These terms govern access to and use of the Salmon Wallet website, applications, and browser extensions.

Last updated: August 26, 2026

1. Who we are and acceptance of these Terms

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and GeekOcean Labs Ltd, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands (“Salmon”, “we”, “us”, or “our”), which operates Salmon Wallet.

The Terms apply to https://www.salmonwallet.io, the web wallet, mobile application, browser extension, and the features Salmon makes available through them (together, the “Services”).

By accessing or using the Services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not accept them, do not use the Services.

2. Eligibility to use the Services

You represent and warrant that you have the legal age and capacity to enter into this agreement; may lawfully use the Services where you are located; are not subject to sanctions or listed as a restricted party by the United Nations, United States, United Kingdom, European Union, or its Member States; and will not use the Services to violate law, evade sanctions, launder assets, finance unlawful activity, defraud anyone, or infringe third-party rights.

Salmon may restrict, suspend, or refuse access to a feature when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect security, respond to a valid order, or prevent abusive use. Technical availability does not mean that use is lawful in every jurisdiction.

3. What Salmon provides

Salmon provides self-custodial wallet software that lets users control digital assets recorded on blockchain networks (“Digital Assets”), view public information, prepare and sign transactions, connect to decentralized applications, and use integrated features.

Salmon may present certain features as optional modules or “Powerups”. Powerups currently available include Swap and Bridge. Salmon develops and maintains the Powerups it offers, decides which are available, and may add, update, disable, or remove them for security, compliance, provider availability, or product reasons.

Activation, availability, or prominent presentation of a Powerup or integration is not a recommendation, guarantee, certification, or promise of results. Labels such as “Experimental”, “Verified”, or “Featured” express only an internal classification and do not eliminate the risks of software, blockchain networks, or third parties.

Salmon does not guarantee the addition or release date of any feature shown in announcements, presentations, roadmaps, or promotional materials.

4. Self-custody and the user’s exclusive control

The Wallet is self-custodial: private keys and the recovery phrase are generated and remain on the user’s device.

No Powerup, provider, or third-party application receives your private key or recovery phrase from Salmon. Third parties may propose or prepare transactions, but the decision to approve and sign remains under the user’s control in the Wallet. You must review the asset, amount, network, address, permissions, and all other details before approving a request.

You alone are responsible for protecting your device, local password, private keys, and recovery phrase. Anyone who obtains them may control your Digital Assets. Salmon is not liable for transactions, losses, or access caused through information or devices under your control, except where mandatory law expressly provides otherwise.

Salmon will never ask for your recovery phrase or private key by email, messaging, support, or social media. Anyone who does so is not acting legitimately for Salmon.

  • Salmon does not receive, store, control, or reconstruct your private keys or recovery phrase.
  • Salmon does not maintain an account in your name or issue credentials that can recover the Wallet.
  • Salmon has no access to your Digital Assets.
  • Salmon cannot initiate, sign, modify, block, cancel, freeze, reverse, or recover a transaction.
  • Salmon cannot restore access if you lose your device, local password, private keys, or recovery phrase.

5. Transactions and blockchain networks

A transaction executes on the relevant network, not in systems controlled by Salmon. Once broadcast, it may be irreversible. Salmon cannot recover funds sent to the wrong address, correct an amount, revoke an authorization, undo a signature, or change blockchain state.

Before signing, you must verify the network, asset, address, amount, quote, slippage, minimums, fees, permissions, and instructions, and the authenticity and safety of every token, protocol, contract, and recipient.

Networks may become congested, halt, fork, reject operations, fail, or be attacked. A transaction may be delayed, fail, or execute under conditions different from the estimate. Salmon does not control those events.

6. Third-party services and integrations

Some features depend on providers, protocols, and services that Salmon does not own or control. When you use an integration, you are also subject to that third party’s terms and policies. Salmon acts as a software provider or technical communications intermediary, not as a party, guarantor, or insurer of a transaction executed by a third party.

Salmon may select, integrate, replace, or stop using a provider. A prior technical or commercial review does not require continuous supervision and does not guarantee the provider’s solvency, legality, security, availability, or performance.

Swap

Jupiter, an independent aggregator, obtains quotes, selects routes, prepares transactions, and may broadcast the signed transaction. Salmon does not control or guarantee price, intermediate tokens, route, liquidity, slippage, priority, execution time, or result. A quote is indicative until the transaction executes on-chain.

Bridge

StealthEX, an independent provider, executes the cross-chain exchange. When you send funds to a StealthEX deposit address, those funds leave your Wallet and are controlled by StealthEX until the provider completes payment or processes a refund under its rules.

Bridge uses a floating-rate quote. The final amount received may be higher or lower than the estimate because of market movement, liquidity, network fees, confirmation time, or StealthEX rules. Salmon cannot cancel the exchange, compel completion, issue a refund, or recover the funds. Claims about execution, temporary custody, or refunds must be made to StealthEX using the exchange identifier.

Third-party data and content

Balances, prices, histories, tokens, digital objects, and other data may come from blockchains, node providers, indexers, registries, or market sources. That information may be incomplete, delayed, wrong, or manipulated. Display of an asset or application in the Wallet does not establish authenticity, value, safety, or legitimacy.

7. Fees

Salmon may receive fees or referral revenue from certain features. Bridge currently includes a 0.4% partner fee deducted by StealthEX and reflected in the estimate. Swap may include an aggregator fee or a Salmon referral fee, depending on the applicable configuration; they do not stack as separate Salmon fees. Network, priority, gas, or rent fees are paid to the relevant network and not to Salmon.

The applicable fee and best available estimate are shown before confirmation. Salmon may change fees for future operations; a change does not affect a transaction already confirmed.

8. No custody or professional advice

Salmon provides software. It does not provide financial, legal, tax, or investment advice; recommend buying, selling, holding, or using Digital Assets; assume a fiduciary or best-execution duty; or guarantee profitability, liquidity, security, or regulatory treatment.

Salmon is not a counterparty to your transactions, does not operate an order book, and, because it does not receive or control keys or funds, does not act with respect to the Wallet as a bank, custodian, broker, dealer, exchange, or money transmitter. This description does not override a mandatory legal classification applied by a competent authority to a specific activity.

9. Risks you accept

By using the Services, you acknowledge that Digital Assets may lose all value; anyone may create false or malicious tokens; contract or application approvals may cause losses; code may contain vulnerabilities even when open source; third parties may suffer outages, insolvency, fraud, or attacks; transactions may have tax or regulatory consequences; and no interface eliminates the inherent risks of a blockchain.

10. Forks, distributions, and unsolicited assets

Salmon decides, in its sole technical and operational discretion, whether to support assets resulting from forks, airdrops, or other distributions. Salmon does not guarantee that they can be displayed, claimed, or transferred through the Wallet. An unsolicited asset may be worthless or malicious, and you must investigate its risks before interacting with it.

11. Acceptable use

You must not use the Services for unlawful or fraudulent activity, sanctions violations, interference with security or availability, malicious code, circumvention of technical limits, unauthorized access, harm to other users, or use of unsupported interfaces that degrades the Services.

12. Intellectual property and open source

The Salmon brand, design, text, images, and other proprietary content are protected by applicable law. You may not use them in a way that suggests authorization, association, or endorsement that does not exist.

Published Wallet source code is offered under the Apache License 2.0. That license governs use, modification, and distribution of the code and controls for those specific rights.

Suggestions voluntarily submitted are not confidential. To the extent permitted by law, you grant Salmon a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, transferable, sublicensable, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to use, adapt, and exploit them without compensation.

To report possible intellectual-property infringement, write to help@salmonwallet.io and identify the work, disputed content, location, contact details, and basis of the claim.

13. Availability and disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without express, implied, or statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or security.

Salmon does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with every device or network, detection or correction of vulnerabilities, accuracy of third-party data, or acceptance, confirmation, or completion of transactions.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salmon and its affiliates, directors, employees, contractors, and representatives are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, exemplary, or consequential losses; loss of profits, opportunities, data, reputation, or assets; or damage arising from compromised keys or devices, user decisions, markets, blockchains, applications, tokens, contracts, Powerups, third parties, outages, errors, vulnerabilities, or events beyond Salmon’s reasonable control.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salmon’s total aggregate liability relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of: (a) fees actually received by Salmon from the user’s transactions during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim; or (b) USD 100.

Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. These limits apply regardless of the legal theory and even if a remedy fails its essential purpose.

15. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you will indemnify and defend Salmon, its affiliates, directors, employees, contractors, and representatives against third-party claims, damages, obligations, reasonable costs, and legal fees arising from unlawful or abusive use, breach of these Terms, infringement of third-party rights, or information you provide. This does not cover losses directly caused by Salmon conduct that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

16. Suspension and termination

Salmon may suspend or terminate access to components it controls if you breach these Terms, a security or legal risk exists, a provider becomes unavailable, or Salmon stops offering a feature.

Suspending an interface does not give Salmon control of your Digital Assets. You remain responsible for retaining the recovery phrase and using compatible software. Provisions that by their nature should continue survive termination.

17. Changes

Salmon may modify these Terms to reflect legal, technical, operational, or commercial changes. We will publish the current version and date. For a material change, we will provide reasonable notice before it takes effect unless law or an urgent risk requires immediate application.

Continued use after the effective date means acceptance. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Services. Your Digital Assets remain under your control and do not depend on continuation of this agreement.

18. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands, without applying conflict-of-law rules. To the maximum extent permitted, its courts have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to the Services or these Terms.

A claim must be started within one year after it arose, unless mandatory law provides a period that cannot be contractually shortened.

19. General provisions

If a provision is invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or severed only to the minimum extent necessary and the rest will remain effective. Failure to exercise a right is not a waiver.

You may not assign these Terms without written permission. Salmon may assign them as part of a reorganization, asset transfer, merger, acquisition, or change of operator, subject to law and required notices. This right does not mean that any reorganization or transfer has occurred or will occur.

These Terms and feature-specific conditions presented before use form the complete agreement. If they conflict, feature-specific conditions control only for that feature.
