Salmon Wallet Terms and Conditions with Power-ups

Effective date: October 6, 2026

These terms describe the use of Salmon Wallet as a self-custodial wallet and its optional Payments and Swap features.

Power-ups version 1.4.

1 Who we are and scope of the agreement

These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern the relationship between you and GeekOcean Labs Ltd, a company incorporated in the British Virgin Islands (“Salmon,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

They apply to the Salmon Wallet mobile applications and browser extension (the “Wallet”), the features we provide through them, and the institutional website salmonwallet.io (together, the “Services”). The institutional website provides information about Salmon; it is not a web wallet.

By accepting these Terms or using the Services to which they apply, you accept this agreement. If you act on behalf of an entity, you represent that you have authority to bind it. If you do not accept the agreement, do not use those Services.

The Power-ups Privacy Policy explains how information is processed. Accepting these Terms does not replace any specific consent required for optional data processing.

2 Eligibility and availability

You must be at least eighteen, have reached the age of majority where you live, and have capacity to enter into this agreement. You must be legally able to use the requested feature where you are located and comply with restrictions applicable to your residence, incorporation, or other relevant criteria.

You may not use the Services in breach of applicable sanctions or restrictions, or to launder assets, finance unlawful activities, defraud others, or infringe third-party rights. You may not act on behalf of a person or entity prohibited from accessing the feature.

Availability depends on the feature, network, asset, platform, location, and provider. Being able to download the Wallet does not mean that all its features are available or permitted in every country or region. An indication of availability does not certify the user's personal legal position.

Salmon may restrict a feature when necessary to comply with law, apply provider conditions, protect security, or respond to a valid order. Territorial conditions for Swap are detailed in section 7.

3 Nature of the service and core features

Salmon develops and provides self-custodial software: the user retains the keys that authorize movements of assets recorded on a blockchain, a network that maintains a shared transaction record. The Wallet allows users to consult and interact with that record; assets are not deposited in an account managed by Salmon.

The core features of this version allow users to create or import a wallet, view balances and public activity, receive and send Solana digital assets, and view supported collectibles, including NFTs, which are individually identifiable tokens. They also allow users to view Bitcoin balances and history and send and receive BTC on the Bitcoin network. The Wallet displays the transfer features available for each network and asset.

Bitcoin is limited to viewing information, sending, and receiving; it is not part of Swap or the Payments Power-up. Payments and Swap operate only on Solana. This version does not enable Ethereum connections or transactions.

In addition to these features, users may use the available Power-ups, subject to section 5 and their specific conditions.

Salmon provides the interface and software connecting users to network information and third-party tools. For Swap, Salmon selects the available provider according to applicable restrictions, requests and presents quotes, and prepares instructions for the user to decide whether to authorize them. The routing provider supplies quoting and routing software; blockchain protocols process the authorized exchange. Section 7 describes these roles separately.

Salmon does not operate its own trading market, maintain an order book, or act as buyer, seller, or counterparty to swaps. It does not hold funds in custody, accept deposits for management, or possess the keys needed to transact for the user. Receiving a fee for use of its integration does not give it control over the assets the user exchanges.

This version does not include cross-network transfers through bridges, buying or selling with bank money or cards, staking, loans, derivatives, or prediction markets. Payments does not include x402 or encrypted messaging. References to future products in marketing materials do not enable those features or guarantee their launch.

4 Keys and transaction authorization

The private keys, recovery phrase, and local password protecting the Wallet remain under your control. The Wallet stores the keys and phrase encrypted on your device; Salmon's servers do not receive, store, or have the ability to reconstruct them.

Salmon does not create a custodial account or issue credentials through which it can restore your access. If you lose the means needed to access or restore your wallet, Salmon cannot recover them or your funds.

Requesting a quote, activating a Power-up, or creating a payment request does not authorize Salmon to move assets. Every transaction requiring a signature must be authorized by you using your keys. For the Bitcoin transfers and Solana transfers, payments, and swaps described here, signing takes place on your device, and the signed transaction is sent directly from it to the network connection provider. It does not pass through Salmon's servers for broadcasting. Preparing or simulating unsigned instructions does not allow Salmon to create a signature for you or decide on transactions with your funds.

Before signing, review the network, asset, recipient, amount, fees, permissions, and expected outcome. Do not sign a request you do not understand. Authorization granted to a network program may have effects different from a simple transfer.

Salmon may limit access to its own interface, but doing so does not allow it to freeze your assets, modify a confirmed transaction, or restore your keys. Certain token issuers and external programs may have their own powers or restrictions, independent of Salmon.

Protect your device and keep a secure backup of your recovery phrase. Do not include it in payment requests or support messages. Salmon will never ask for that phrase or a private key by email, messaging, or social media.

5 General Power-up conditions

5.1 What they are and how to use them

Power-ups are optional features integrated into the Wallet that extend specific tasks. The “+” button opens the catalog, where you can enable or disable features available for your version and location using their respective controls. Activation displays the feature's tools; it does not sign a transaction or grant general authorization to transact with your assets.

Activating Payments or Swap does not require buying tokens, points, a subscription, or an additional license. Free activation does not exclude fees for a particular transaction, such as the Swap fee and network costs described in section 10.

The Power-ups covered by these Terms are features integrated by Salmon. They are not an open marketplace of programs that third parties can freely install or update in the Wallet.

5.2 Specific information and providers

Each Power-up is subject to these Terms, its specific section, and the notices presented before use. The interface identifies the external provider involved where applicable and allows users to consult the applicable conditions. The data needed for the feature is described in the Privacy Policy.

Salmon's integration code and the external service perform different roles. Identifying an external provider does not remove Salmon's legal obligations for its own software, information, or conduct. Nor does it make Salmon a custodian or counterparty to transactions the user performs with that provider or network programs.

5.3 Deactivation and changes

Disabling a Power-up prevents its use through that Wallet feature, but does not cancel a broadcast transaction, erase the public record, or automatically revoke permissions granted to external programs. Deleting local data and disabling a feature are different actions.

Salmon may withdraw or limit a Power-up for security, provider availability, or compliance reasons. No feature is guaranteed indefinitely. Adding other features requires describing their operation, conditions, and data processing before making them available; this clause does not authorize unspecified future services.

6 Payments and payment requests

6.1 Purpose of the tool

Payments allows users to create requests on their device to receive an amount of USDC, a token whose issuer seeks to maintain a value equivalent to the US dollar, on Solana. It uses Solana Pay, a payment-instruction format that can be shared as a QR code or text and opened in a compatible wallet.

The request identifies the recipient, token, amount, and a reference used to look for the payment on the network. The shared QR code or text also includes the account name, order identifier, and any note you add. You can set an expiry time to organize the request. Creating a request does not move funds or oblige its recipient to pay.

The payer reviews and authorizes a transfer using their own wallet. In Salmon, scanning a compatible request fills in the transfer fields but does not automatically sign or execute it. Activating Payments is not required to use the core sending feature to pay a compatible request.

6.2 Relationship between payer and payee

Payment is made from the payer's address to the recipient's address. Salmon does not receive the amount for onward delivery to the recipient, hold it in escrow, or provide a guarantee, commercial arbitration, or payment-refund service.

The existence, lawfulness, and performance of the obligation behind the payment are the parties' responsibility. A request, note, or payment status shown in the Wallet is not a tax invoice issued by Salmon or a guarantee of the recipient's identity or delivery of goods or services.

Claims about the commercial relationship or a refund must be directed to the counterparty. Salmon handles problems with its software without thereby assuming the commercial obligations of the payer or recipient.

6.3 Confirmation, expiry, and retention

A QR code, screenshot, or transaction identifier does not by itself prove that payment is confirmed. The Wallet searches the network for a finalized transfer matching the requested reference, token, recipient, and amount. If a transfer does not match, it may not be automatically linked to the request even if movements appear in Activity.

Expiry organizes the request within the Wallet; it does not technically invalidate the code or prevent someone from sending funds later. Deleting a request stops displaying and tracking that local record, but does not prevent receipt of funds at the address or erase payments recorded on the blockchain.

Requests are stored on the device where they are created. They are not synchronized through a Salmon account and may be lost when application data is deleted or the device is reset. Recovering the keys does not necessarily restore local notes and requests.

6.4 Notes and privacy

Content shared in the QR code or text is not an end-to-end encrypted communication. Anyone with access to the code can read and copy its data, including the account name and note. Salmon does not receive or store the request list or its notes on its servers.

In Salmon's Payments flow, the note is not included in the transaction or published on the blockchain. Payment data, the order identifier, and a single-use reference are recorded. A QR recipient may retain or disclose its content outside Salmon; do not include confidential information, keys, identity documents, or other people's data without authorization.

Payments does not automatically convert assets, use x402, or allow purchases of Salmon features. Salmon charges no fee of its own to create requests or receive their payments; sending may incur network costs.

7 Swap and routing providers

7.1 What Salmon does

Swap allows users to prepare an exchange of one token for another within Solana; it does not allow swapping BTC on Bitcoin or moving assets between Bitcoin and Solana. Participants have different roles:

  • Salmon provides the interface and integration software. It receives your request, applies availability controls, queries the routing provider, and prepares and simulates an unsigned transaction. It presents the quote and transaction details for your review.
  • The routing provider, such as 0x or Metis, supplies software that queries and combines options across liquidity sources: programs and participants that enable asset exchanges. It returns a quote, a route, and instructions to prepare the transaction. It does not receive your private keys from Salmon.
  • You choose the assets and amount, decide whether to accept the conditions, and authorize signing on your device. The device sends the signed transaction directly to the network connection provider; Salmon's servers do not receive it for rebroadcasting.
  • The Solana network and the protocols in the route process the transaction under their rules and the signed instructions. The exchange is recorded on the blockchain, not in a Salmon custodial account.

Preparing and simulating a transaction does not move your funds or constitute an order that Salmon can execute on its own. Salmon does not receive assets to exchange on your behalf, act as counterparty, or exercise discretion over transactions with your funds. It may limit access to its interface or preparation of a quote, but cannot modify a signed transaction to dispose of your assets without fresh valid authorization.

7.2 Providers and territorial access

The providers integrated for this feature are 0x and Metis, the Jupiter routing software used by Salmon. In the United States, eligible requests are directed to 0x, not Metis. In other countries or regions, an available provider is selected according to its service's territorial restrictions and the requirements applicable to the integration. This selection does not enable products other than the identified service or represent a statement of third-party regulatory permissions.

The Wallet identifies the quote provider before signing. Salmon may add or replace providers, identifying the provider involved and its conditions before you use the relevant integration. Changing providers cannot be used to evade a prohibition applicable to the user or activity.

To determine availability and select a provider, Salmon estimates the country from the IP address, which identifies the internet connection. This check does not use the device's GPS or establish citizenship or residence. Applicable distribution and service restrictions also apply. Where the application was downloaded does not, by itself, establish user eligibility, and having the Wallet does not guarantee access to Swap. Additional restrictions may apply based on residence, sanctions, wallet address, asset, or provider requirements.

If no enabled provider can legally and technically serve the request, Swap is not offered for that request. You must not hide your location or use a VPN, proxy, or other means to bypass a restriction. If you believe a territorial decision is incorrect, you may contact support; access to the feature is not guaranteed.

Restricting Swap does not give Salmon control over your assets. Core features remain subject to their own availability conditions.

7.3 Provider conditions

In addition to these Terms, the conditions of an external service you interact with may apply, according to their scope. You can consult the 0x terms and Jupiter's published terms. Salmon's integration is itself subject to the software-access agreements of 0x and Jupiter/Metis. Those agreements govern Salmon's access to the provider; they do not make the user a party to commercial obligations assumed solely by Salmon.

Salmon obtains these services through their online channels under the standard conditions applicable to the chosen service and plan, without individually negotiated agreements. The interface identifies the specific service and allows users to consult its applicable conditions. Terms for a different product from the same provider do not authorize its use.

The provider may reject a quote because of access restrictions, address checks, lack of liquidity, or technical limitations. An available quote does not certify a token's lawfulness, authenticity, or safety, or replace restrictions that must be observed.

7.4 Quotes and outcomes

Quotes are temporary. Prices and costs may change between the query and confirmation. A route may use several liquidity sources and does not guarantee the best price across all market alternatives.

The difference between the quoted price and the outcome is called slippage. Before signing, review the estimated amount, minimum amount you accept receiving, applicable tolerance, assets, and fees. If a quote expires, request a new one. A transaction may be rejected or fail; risks and network costs may exist even if the exchange is not completed.

Displaying a route, ranking options, or applying a technical setting does not constitute investment advice or a guarantee of returns or best execution. Do not interpret an asset's presence as a recommendation by Salmon.

7.5 Signing, fees, and cancellation

The fees described in section 10 are incorporated into the transaction presented for your authorization. Salmon may receive its fee without being the recipient of the assets exchanged on the user's behalf.

Before signing, you may abandon the transaction. After broadcasting, closing the application or disabling Swap does not cancel it. Salmon cannot alter a confirmed transaction or unilaterally refund funds or charges received by third parties.

8 External information and services

Salmon uses technical providers to query balances and activity, obtain asset data, and connect the Wallet to public networks. A network connection provider allows users to query the blockchain and broadcast a signed transaction; that role does not make it custodian of your keys.

Prices, metadata, images, and other content may be incomplete, delayed, false, or malicious. A name, logo, valuation, or label does not establish an asset's authenticity or rights over the work or property it claims to represent. Viewing or receiving an NFT does not grant a license to its content unless the rights holder grants one.

Independent third parties apply their own terms and policies. Salmon may select or replace them for operational, commercial, security, or compliance reasons. That selection does not guarantee they are free of faults, but neither does it exclude Salmon's own responsibilities that the law does not allow it to transfer.

9 Networks and transaction risks

Acceptance, ordering, and confirmation of a transaction depend on the network and its programs, not on Salmon's discretionary approval. A confirmed transaction may be irreversible. Sending to an incorrect or incompatible address can cause permanent loss.

Digital assets may lose all value. Their issuers may impose restrictions; Salmon does not guarantee the stability of tokens intended to maintain a stable value, such as USDC. Networks, programs, and providers may suffer congestion, errors, attacks, outages, or changes affecting transactions.

A program executable on a blockchain, also called a smart contract, may contain vulnerabilities even if its code is public or has been reviewed. Simulation and risk notices are aids, not security guarantees. No interface eliminates the risks of signing a transaction.

10 Fees and costs

10.1 Core features and Payments

Salmon charges no fee of its own to create or import a wallet, view balances or activity, send or receive assets, display collectibles, or activate the Power-ups covered by these Terms. Nor does it charge its own fee to create Payments requests or receive their payments.

10.2 Swap fee

Salmon's standard Swap fee is 0.5%, unless a lower rate or exemption is shown before signing. The confirmation screen must indicate the rate, amount, token charged, and whether it is deducted from the asset sent or received. Review the estimated net amount to avoid confusing the exchange value with what you will receive after charges.

The fee is incorporated into the transaction you authorize and is received at a Salmon address when the transaction containing it executes. Requesting a quote and abandoning it without signing does not incur Salmon's Swap fee.

The 0x integration applies a provider fee of 0.15% where applicable to the quoted transaction, separate from Salmon's fee and network costs. Liquidity sources may incorporate their own charges into the quote. Charges communicated by the provider must be reflected in the presented breakdown, indicating whether they are included in the price. Do not interpret Salmon's fee as the total transaction cost.

In addition, under the Standard plan used by Salmon, 0x collects trade surplus, or positive slippage: the favorable difference that may arise when a transaction executes at a better price than quoted. This collection follows 0x's terms and mechanism, is separate from its 0.15% fee, and is not Salmon revenue. Therefore, not all price improvement is guaranteed to be passed on to the user. Before signing, you must be informed of this treatment along with the estimated net amount and minimum amount you accept receiving; the exact surplus, if any, depends on execution.

Payments Salmon makes for access to third-party tools or infrastructure do not, by themselves, become a subscription or additional user charge. Any transaction charge to the user must correspond to the conditions presented before signing.

10.3 Network costs and changes

Sending assets or interacting with programs may require network processing fees and, in certain cases, funds to create accounts needed to receive tokens. These amounts are not Salmon revenue merely because they appear in the confirmation.

Network costs are estimates and may vary. The network may charge for processing a failed transaction. Costs actually received by the network or third parties cannot be unilaterally refunded by Salmon, without prejudice to applicable legal rights.

Salmon will disclose changes to its rate before they apply to new transactions. No change authorizes charges against your funds without a transaction you decide to sign.

11 Financial information and user obligations

Salmon provides technological tools, not financial, tax, legal, or investment advice. It does not manage a portfolio for you, accept a mandate to transact, or promise returns, liquidity, or a particular price.

Describing Salmon as a self-custodial software provider rather than the operator of an exchange, bank, custodian, or broker reflects the functions described in these Terms. It does not exclude obligations or classifications that mandatory law applies to a specific activity. Using an external provider does not transfer a license to Salmon or replace the obligations of each participant.

You determine and meet the tax obligations arising from your transactions. Salmon does not withhold or report taxes on the user's behalf through these features.

12 Acceptable use and controls

You must not use the Services for unlawful activities, fraud, market manipulation, sanctions evasion, unauthorized access, introduction of malicious code, or interference harming others or the infrastructure. You must not falsify eligibility information or bypass availability controls.

Salmon and its providers may check public addresses against sanctions and risk information to decide whether to allow access to a feature. These controls do not grant access to your keys or amount to full identity verification. An alert may prevent a transaction through the interface without enabling Salmon to freeze funds on the network.

Identity documents are not requested to create or import the Wallet. If a service requires additional information to satisfy its conditions or the law, you must be told who requests it and for what purpose before providing it. Access to a feature is not guaranteed when its requirements cannot be met.

13 Intellectual property and open source

Salmon's own brands, texts, images, and designs are protected by applicable rights. You may not use them to suggest a nonexistent association, authorization, or endorsement.

The Wallet's published source code is offered under Apache License 2.0, with the notices and licenses applicable to its components. That license controls the rights to use, modify, and distribute the code that it grants. It does not grant trademark rights or unlimited access to third-party infrastructure or services.

Salmon does not warrant or support modified versions independently distributed by third parties. An external modification does not make that third party Salmon's representative.

For suggestions you voluntarily provide and have the right to share, you grant Salmon a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use and adapt them. That authorization does not allow disclosure of personal information beyond what is described in the Privacy Policy.

To report intellectual-property infringement, contact help@salmonwallet.io and identify the work, disputed content, its location, and the basis of your claim.

14 Availability and warranties

To the extent permitted by law, the Services are offered as available and without guarantees of uninterrupted operation, absence of errors, absolute security, or compatibility with every asset, network, or device.

Salmon does not guarantee transaction confirmation, accuracy of third-party data, or recovery of keys or assets. These exclusions do not limit mandatory statutory warranties or rights.

15 Liability

Each participant is responsible for its own obligations. User decisions, network rules, and third-party actions do not automatically become Salmon's obligations through use of its interface.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Salmon and its representatives are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damage, lost profits or opportunities, or losses arising from events beyond their reasonable control. Salmon's total aggregate liability relating to the Services is limited to the greater of the fees it received from you during the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim or USD 100.

These limitations do not exclude liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, or other conduct or harm for which liability cannot legally be limited. They do not remove mandatory consumer rights or Salmon's own data-protection obligations.

16 Third-party claims arising from unlawful use

To the extent permitted by law, you will be responsible for third-party claims and reasonable expenses you cause through unlawful or abusive use of the Services, infringement of others' rights, or a breach of these Terms attributable to you. This obligation does not cover losses caused by Salmon's conduct or restrict the user's non-waivable defenses or rights.

17 Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Services and disable Power-ups. Before deleting the Wallet, make sure you retain the means to recover your keys and any local records you need.

Salmon may limit or suspend components under its control because of breaches, security risks, legal requirements, or provider unavailability. Where possible and legally permitted, it will explain the reason and available options.

Suspending an interface does not by itself change control of the keys or the blockchain asset record. You may use software compatible with your keys and networks, subject to its terms and restrictions. Suspension does not reverse transactions or erase data that must legally be retained.

18 Versions and changes

These Terms are identified by version and effective date. The features covered are those enabled in the application to which that version applies. Publishing a draft does not make it an effective agreement or activate a feature.

Salmon may update the Terms to reflect service changes or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable advance notice unless a legal requirement or urgent risk justifies a different period. We will request acceptance when required and will not apply changes retroactively to reduce accrued rights.

If you do not accept a change, you may stop using the affected feature. Provisions concerning completed transactions, liability, and disputes survive as applicable. The conditions governing a transaction are determined by the version effective for it, not by deletion of a file or link.

19 Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the British Virgin Islands. To the extent permitted by law, its courts will hear disputes relating to the Services.

This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory protections where they reside or their legal right to approach the courts or authorities available to them. You may first contact support to try to resolve an issue, without limiting available legal deadlines or remedies.

20 General provisions

If a provision is invalid, it will be limited or severed to the extent necessary, and the remaining provisions continue to apply. Failure to exercise a right is not a waiver.

Salmon may assign this agreement in a reorganization or business transfer, subject to law and required notices, without removing the user's mandatory rights. You may not assign it without authorization where that restriction is legally permissible.

Specific conditions prevail for the particular feature without overriding mandatory rights. An external provider's conditions govern its own service and do not release Salmon from obligations arising from its conduct.

21 Applications obtained through stores

If you obtain the Wallet through Apple App Store, you contract for Salmon's service with GeekOcean Labs Ltd, not Apple. Salmon is responsible for its application, content, and support; Apple is not obliged to maintain or support the Wallet.

The license to use the application distributed by Apple is governed by the applicable App Store license agreement, whether Apple's standard agreement or a custom agreement published for the application. You must use it on devices you own or control in accordance with Apple's rules, including permitted shared uses. Open-source licenses retain their own scope.

To the extent required by Apple's conditions, Salmon handles claims relating to the application, compliance, and intellectual property. If the application fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and request a refund of its purchase price, if any, under Apple's rules; this does not make Apple responsible for digital-asset transactions. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of the provisions applicable to the application and may enforce them.

When you download the Wallet from Google Play or an extension store, that store's rules also apply. Distribution does not mean the store operator holds funds in custody or guarantees assets, providers, quotes, or transactions.

22 Contact

For questions about these Terms or Wallet problems, write to help@salmonwallet.io. The operator is GeekOcean Labs Ltd, British Virgin Islands. Do not include private keys or recovery phrases in your communication.
